Information we process
- Account identifiers from guest sign-in, Apple sign-in, or Google sign-in.
- Profile information such as display name, avatar image, friends, friend requests, and notification tokens.
- Focus activity such as room participation, invite codes, timer state, session history, progress, and rule events.
- Purchase status from the app stores, including whether Pro access is active. We do not receive full payment card details.
- Device signals needed for app features, such as movement and volume checks during focus sessions. These are used to evaluate session rules and are not used to identify your physical location.
- Support messages you send to us.
How we use information
- Provide solo timers, real-time rooms, friend features, notifications, rewards, and Pro access.
- Prevent abuse, debug failures, and keep the service secure.
- Respond to support, privacy, billing, and account deletion requests.
- Comply with legal, tax, accounting, and app store obligations.
Service providers
Proof of Focus uses trusted service providers for sign-in, data storage, notifications, support, and purchase status. These providers process information according to their own terms and privacy commitments.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. Limited profile and room information may be visible to other users when you join rooms, send friend requests, or participate in social features. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect users, or to operate service providers listed above.
Retention and deletion
We keep account and app data while your account is active or as needed for the purposes above. You can request account deletion at /delete-account/. Verified requests are processed within 30 days, subject to legal, security, backup, and store-purchase retention limits.
Children
Proof of Focus is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact support so we can review and delete it where required.
Your choices
- You can choose guest mode or link Apple/Google sign-in to preserve progress.
- You can disable notifications in device settings.
- You can restore or manage active plans through the app store account used for purchase.
- You can request access, correction, or deletion by contacting support.
Changes
We may update this policy as the app changes. The updated date at the top shows the current version.
